Programs, Meetings and Gardening Activities

General meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, September through June, usually in Templars Hall at Old Poway Park or Lake Poway Pavilion, Poway, California.

Meet at Old Poway Park Farmer’s Market Parking Lot.
There will be a Garden Tour of Daylily Nursery. Plants will be availabe to purchase.
For members who would like to go to lunch afterwards try to carpool together and form a “lunch bunch”

Alex Kallas is from Ag Pals, LUCK program (Learning, using conservation knowledge) a science based education nonprofit organization focusing on sustainable agriculture, environmental awareness and creative thought processes to teach people about growing plants, food, food safety, nutrition and resource conservation.

Please bring a potluck dish to share with 8-10 people. Bring your own serving utensils/equipment. The club will provide plates and cutlery along with cups and napkins. Food assigments are base on the 1st letter of your last name. A-C Drinks, D-H Appetizer, I-P Salad, Q-V Main Dish, W-Z Desserts

Floral Design Forum Schedule of Presenters

The purpose of the Floral Design Forum

  • to bring the finest designers to San Diego County,
  • to promote appreciation for the floral art forms,
  • to develop skills in critiquing floral art,
  • to improve individual skills for in-home floral decorating,
  • to learn skills for flower show exhibition,
  • to motivate members to enter flower shows, and
  • to promote individual interactions with floral works of art

Directions to Joslyn Center:
North on 15 take 78 EAST, turn right (south) on Broadway.
Go 1 1/2 blocks turn left into parking lot of Escondido Chamber of Commerce.
If you get to Washington when you are on Broadway, you have gone too far.
